What you will do:

You will be expected to produce a full sketchbook and A2 design sheets during this second unit of work. All your preparation work will be displayed in your sketchbook and more finished ideas will be mounted onto A2 worksheets.

Final piece:

During the term you will need to produce at least one final piece that will be a culmination of all your preparatory work. Your final piece may be produced in a variety of ways using different materials and techniques that you have been taught during this first unit of work.

Sketchbook- AO1- Photographers/Artists

Collect and research images by photographers and artists who use Architecture as their subject matter.

- Have you looked at a wide range of photographers/artists?- Does your work link to the artists you have researched?- Colour or Black & White copies of the artists work.- Own photographs in the style of the photographers work.- Annotated notes of your own observations and opinions regarding the photographer’s work.

Sketchbook- AO2- Development of materials & ideas

During this unit you should be experimenting with a wide range of materials - both what you photograph and how you print them.

- Have you a wide variety of ideas, using various techniques?- Have you been creative?- Use the scanner.- Edit photographs with Photoshop.- Print on brown paper, newspaper, tracing paper, matt paper.

Sketchbook- AO3- Observations

Make sure you have a wide range of photographs showing interesting and varied compositions

- How well have you taken each photograph?- Is it in focus?- Have you thought about the composition?- Have you got a wide variety of images?

AO4- Final Piece

This will be a larger scale piece finished and printed to a high standard it may be one photograph or a piece using a variety of photos and materials.
