Its not just about bit pipe, its key we look at how the ground segment and space segment play a nodal or functional role in a 5G architecture, these will be paramount to tighter integration and added value.

• Exploiting SDN/NFV and MEC, incorporate LTE nodes as an integrate part of the satellite system.

• Space segment/ future satellites to include SDN/NFV capability

• Integrate MEC within the terminal and gateway.

Lets move beyond just backhaul
