Attendance Party
On December 9, 2015 we had our first
Excellent Attendance Party of the year at
the Café with a total of 163 students, 44
of them had perfect attendance and 119
had 95% of attendance during the first
trimester. We would like to congratulate
their parents for helping them to be at
school on time every day. Also, we
would like to thank our wonderful PTSA
for their support by giving FCC a grant
for the parties, we’ll have two more par-
ties this school year and we hope to add
more students each time for this great
celebration. If you have questions about
attendance or need ideas for improving
your students’ attendance, please contact
the school, FCC, or visit http://

can-i-do/parents/.
Help Needed!
The PTSA is in need of Eagle Mail Helpers and Talent Show help!
Please visit Helptime.com and search for Ardmore under the Event
Finder tab.
The talent show is a huge undertaking, requiring several volunteers,
for several roles. It is a truly great event that is reflective of the di-
versity and hard work of the kids here at Ardmore. Please help if
you can!

Volunteer Stories: Soccer & Service
Students at Ardmore Elementary School are passionate about soccer. They play at every recess and absolutely dread the rainy days when the field must be “off limits.” Since the students love soccer, play daily and outside of school hours as well, the goal nets have become torn and tattered over time. Now there will be additional play and the need for improved goal nets is essential because Jubilee REACH is establishing a Soccer Club for all Ardmore students.
"Jubilee REACH not only helps us in the middle schools, but also in the elementary schools." – Odle student Yahir
One way Jubilee REACH is building community in and through schools is by improving the physical environment of the schools themselves. To improve equipment at Ardmore Elementary, Odle Middle School Site Coach, Giovanni Sanchez, and middle school student volunteers, Omar, Fernando, and Yahir rallied together to repair the soccer nets. Working after school, they acquired cable ties and joined them together to secure the nets around the posts, ensuring the soccer ball would not pass through the net. Without these repairs and improvements the students would have been without the durable soccer nets as necessary equipment for the new Soccer Club.
Fernando and Yahir teamed to accomplish repairs of the goal nets.
Our student volunteers demonstrated what Jubilee REACH is seeking to supply for all schools in the Bellevue School Dis-trict. Their influential servant leadership is being recognized and appreciated by many school officials. They also fostered camaraderie as they served alongside one another. That is the Jubilee REACH way – through our Site Coaches, we under-stand the needs of each school and we empower volunteers to work together and contribute to their community giving back to meet needs. "Other students can help the community by giving back to schools they formerly attended." - Odle student Omar
Omar and Fernando diligently fixing one of the soccer nets. "For elementary age children, seemingly ‘little things’ can mean a great deal. Repairing the soc-cer nets will be something the kids will notice right away and it will create excitement around struc-tured play. We are so fortunate to have Jubilee REACH take an active interest in our school and immediately impact our social-emotional learning environments!” - Chas Miller, Ardmore Principal
Site Coach, Giovanni Sanchez, with student volunteers Yahir, Omar, and, Fernando. "By volunteering, I felt good because I felt I gave back to our community." – Fernando
