ABOUT THE BUCHAREST FOOTBALL PROJECT

The Bucharest Football Project (BFP) is a friendly football competition that addresses the local Construction and Property sectors. The event is an initiative of Gardiner & Theobald (G&T) and debuted in 2008.

BFP has so far brought together professionals from companies such as Alukoenigstahl, Aquarius Group, Bouygues Romania, Bureau Veritas, Chapman Taylor, Classic Dome, Corporate O�ce Solutions (COS), DTZ Echinox, Cushman & Wake�eld, Epstein Archi-tecture, G&T, GVA Asco, King Sturge, MEP Construct, Strabag, Summa and Tebodin.

BFP is ideal as a one-day teambuilding exercise and gives participating colleagues the chance to come together outside their usual work-related environment. The event is an excellent opportunity for the professionals in the construction and property to consolidate their connections, while also supporting the local non-governmental sector.

All the funds gathered on the occasion of BFP are donated to NGOs.

All the funds collected on the occasion of BFP Phase III (FC Steaua Bucharest, Novem-ber 13, 2010) will be donated to Hospice Casa Speranţei.

BUCHAREST FOOTBALL PROJECT, PHASE III:FOOTBALL AND FRIENDS FOR HOSPICE CASA SPERANȚEI

G&T are organising the third phase of the Bucharest Football Project in the bene�t of Hospice Casa Speranţei.

This is one of the biggest medical not-for-pro�t organisations in Romania and a Centre of Excellence in South-East Europe. The NGO was set up in Braşov in 1992 and provides free palliative services for the children and adults diagnosed with incurable and terminal illnesses.

Hospice inaugurated the �rst in-patient unit designed to o�er constant care for terminally ill patients in Braşov in 2002. The foundation also started the �rst mobile service of palliative care in a hospital in 2006.

Over 10,000 terminally ill patients in Bucharest, Braşov and Făgăraş have bene�ted from their support to date.

One out of �ve people is diagnosed with cancer in Romania. Over 70% of all cancer cases are diagnosed in the most advanced stages of the disease. Although palliative care is the only solution for terminally-ill patients, only 3% have access to palliative care services.

We are asking that the companies interested in participating donate EUR 500 to Hospice Casa Speranţei. All donations will go towards the provision of palliative care for the Hospice patients.

The funds raised on the occasion of BFP Phase II: Score Against Pain (June 2009)* paid for a nurse to make 325 home visits to patients in Bucharest.*Held in the bene�t of Hospice Casa Speranţei

HOW TO REGISTER

1. Create a team of seven and send through membership to G&T by November 4, 2010.2. Download and �ll in the Sponsorship Contract.3. Redirect the donation to Hospice Casa Speranţei and send G&T a payment confirmation by November 4, 2010.
