Our Services

We don’t rush from one client to another, we havetime to chat and enjoy a cuppa. Our clients are seenas friends and as such are treated like friends. Wewont need an appointment to pop in if we arepassing, we just want to check everything is ok;just as a friend would..

The client is not a number, a schedule or ainconvenience; they are our friends and treatedwith respect and dignity. Many care organisationsforce staff to rush from job to job, we don’t worklike that we pride ourselves on caring. We keep arecord of all visits/contact and report any concernsthat we might have to a family member or takeimmediate action if there is a medical emergency,we will not leave a client where we feel theyrequire additional support.

Our clients are usually physically mobile to somedegree and do not require ' personal care' but theyrequire support in some way, the age range variesgreatly from young people to very senior adultsthat live independently. Our mission is to improvethe quality of life of our clients, by removingunnecessary stresses and where wanted includingclients in social activities. Activities such as, asshopping, visit to the beach, cinema, theatre,bingo, trip to rugby club, horse racing or a classicmystery tour with lunch.. Events happen everymonth and greatly enjoyed. There is more to lifethan four walls and television.

Telecaring what is it? Essentially telecaring is a 365days per week proactive system of remote contactwith a client to ensure that they are safe and welland have everything they need. The client is calledtwice a day morning and early evening to checkthey are OK, more frequently if required. If theyclient fails to answer the call and subsequent callsafter 60 minutes a carer visits the clients home tocheck they are ok.

This system prevents a client spending days on thefloor of their home desperately hoping someonewill find them. The client and their family havetotal peace of mind.

The service that CATS offer operates on a proactivebasis, we do not wait for the client to contact us inan emergency. There are systems available in thecommunity often provided by the local authority,but these services only respond to an emergencyactivation by the client. The system does not focuson the person, it does not monitor the person itwaits for something to go wrong within the clientshome. At CATS we engage with the client twice aday, more often if we feel its necessary; we visitthe client for a chat and a 'catch up'. We strive to bea welcome voice and provide a caring service.

The client can use the daily contact to ask forsupport or assistance, its not solely aboutproviding an emergency service. For example, If atelecare client is unwell and unable to get to theshops for groceries, when we contact them theycould place an order for supplies and we willdeliver them to their home. This prevents anydifficulties and ensures that the clients needs aremet straight away. Total piece of mind, no worriesno stress.

Handyman Services by Experienced Craftsmen.

CATS provide a property repair service for clientsit is charged for on an hourly rate basis (excludingmaterials) and enables small repairs andimprovements to be undertaken on a scheduledbasis. The repairs would typically be fittinghandrails, painting, decorating, repairing a leakingtap, fitting curtains, unblocking a sink, gardening,or putting shelves up. Emergency repairs are undertaken if urgentlyrequired, call the office

Our handyman is very experienced and has beenemployed in the construction industry for manyyears and is very competent, he is used to dealingwith people and loves to chat. He is a permanentpart of our team.

CATS will prepare a written quotation of costs forthe proposed task, this will include materials costsif not being supplied by the client. Where aproperty repair requires the handyman toseparately visit the property to make anassessment of the project for materials andgeneral costings purposes, a nominal charge of£15.00 will be applied to the client account or ispayable on the day. The charge covers staff time.

In the event a staff member notices a potential riskto the client or a third party, the client will beinformed in writing. an example may be a loosepaving slab or a sticking door.
