Sort by hospital Reference - remove all hospital that are not yours (i.e. transfers in, not birthed at your hospital)

{Remember to Save as type from CSV (comma delimited) to Microsoft Excel97-Excel 2003 & 5.0/95 Workbook}

If you do not do this step it is not in Excel format & you will not be able to password secure

↓ Work out the Numerator / Denominator & percentage for each KPI

↓ Send the numerator / denominator & percentage template

Plus the ObstetriX Excel report password secured to Susan Owens no later than the dates for the Perinatal Data Collection as listed above in red.

Sites that do not have to wait for a baby to be discharged from the nursery please complete your

reports earlier than the PDC date to assist in compiling this information.

• Enter your KPIs onto SMaRT Viewer locally.• CMC Midwifery Informatics will collate all the

facilities KPIs for District and enter these results onto SMaRT Viewer.

• Discuss with your manager/staff any other KPI/s you would like to report.

• Midwifery CMC will write ObstetriX report for your chosen KPI/s if required.

Further Explanation

• Gestation at booking before 14 wks – ObX allows a full number only therefore in the report you are looking for less than14/40.

• Breastfeeding - BFHI states exclusively B/F this includes breast milk = EBM.

• Breastfeeding & infant formula is excluded.• New KPIs can be obtained from Perinatal

Statistics Report.
