WestJet, one of Canada’s largest airlines, first introduced flights to Arizona in 2004. Now the Calgary-based airline services both Phoenix Sky Harbour International Airport and Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport among its 150+ other destinations in Canada, the United States, Central America, the Caribbean, and Europe. With daily direct flights from Calgary to Phoenix Sky Harbour and multiple direct and connecting flights from 7 other Canadian airports to Phoenix, WestJet provides transportation for the thousands of Albertans that visit Arizona each year. Thus far in 2018 WestJet has 540,000 total scheduled seats to Arizona, making it the largest carrier from Canada and the second largest carrier for international seats in Arizona – a 24% growth since 2013.

WestJet not only provides reliable transportation to and from Arizona, but also invests in the many communities it serves via a variety of charity endeavours and a dedication to sustainable practices. Because of its continual investment in fuel-efficient aircraft and focus on improving operational performance, WestJet increased its fuel efficiency by 47.1% per revenue tonne kilometer between 2000 and 2017.
