El GeneralIt´s funny how quickly things can change in football. I mustadmit a couple of weeks ago I was a tad despondent on howthings were shaping up at CDT. Season ticket sales were slack,the club had not presented the new kits or found a sponsor andthe pre-season games were not going well. Since then a dealhas been done with Caixa Bank to bring in some funding, thenew shirts look great (not just because I am going to sell them!),season ticket sales are up and the team won their first game0-2. It was a strange one last week, playing the first evercompetitive match on the Island. CD Marino in my opinion gotthe PR all wrong and should have attracted more people to thegame. A cooler Saturday night kick off, cheaper entrance and aparty atmosphere would have set up Marino for the season andperhaps make fans return. It smacks of what happened to SanIsidro a few years back, but anyway good luck to Marino andtheir James Brown lookalike chairman. Today we will celebratea tribute to Pablo Sicilia and rumours are he will join us behindthe goal for the 2nd half. Grande Pablo!
