12 A Second World War RAF Gallantry Group of Four Medals, awarded to 42062 Flying Officer Ross James 102 and 35 Squadron, comprising Distinguished Flying Cross (dated 1941), 1939-45 Star, Air Crew Europe Star and War Medal, contained in a display file, together with cloth insignia, biography, research material, a book by his close friend Group Captain Leonard Cheshire in which "Jimmy" is mentioned, letters and a signed photograph of Leonard Cheshire. **Flying Officer Ross James was awarded the DFC for service with 102 Squadron on thirty three operations (London Gazette 22.8.41). He was lost in a raid on Berlin on 3rd September 1941 aged 28 years whilst serving with 35 Squadron. He is buried in a joint grave in the Berlin 1939/45 War Cemetery. £1800 - 2000

ADDISON, in case of issue, together with a booklet "The First Hundred Years of the North Riding of Yorkshire Constabulary 1856-1956", three cap badges, eight collar badges, twenty two buttons and two other badges. £50 - 80

14 A Second World War RAF Group of Four Medals, posthumously awarded to 1144814 Flight Sergeant K Antcliffe, comprising 1939-45 Star, France and Germany Star, Defence and War Medals, in cardboard box of issue, together with his Navigator's, Air Bomber's and Air Gunner's Flying Log Book, entries begin 14.06.43 and end 31.03.45 when he failed to return, also with a portrait photograph and a booklet from the Imperial War Graves Commission - "Their Name Liveth"; a Second World War Group of Four Medals, awarded to W H Hallam, Royal Artillery, comprising 1939-45 Star, Africa Star, Burma Star and War Medal, in cardboard box of issue, together with his Pocket Bible.(12) £80 - 120

15 A Bronze XXVII Inniskilling Boxing Medallion, awarded to CHARLES ALLUM. ** In 1905 "Charlie" Allum had a genuine claim to the British middleweight (10 stone 10 pounds limit) title. According to his medal index card, 47933 Sergeant Charles Allum 13th Bn. Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers was posted to France in 1915. Charlie was killed in action in France on 21st July 1918 aged 41 years, and posthumously awarded the Military Medal for bravery. He has no known grave but his name is on the First World War Memorial in the cemetery at Ploegsteert in Belgium. £50 - 80
