Tough, strong and impact resistant semi-crystalline polymer has very good mechanical properties and excellent sliding and wear characteristics. it is in many uses more practical than aluminum blade. Due to its low coefficient of friction and abrasion resistance it can break the ice but not scratch the expensive surfaces of patios or sidewalks. it has also a good solvent resistance to endure road salt.

Polyamid-Kanten, hergestellt aus halbkristallinen Polymeren, sind stabil, schlagfest, besitzen sehr gute mechanische Eigenschaften und haben ein hervorragendes gleit- und Verschleißverhalten. Sie sind praktischer als Aluminiumkanten. Aufgrund der niedrigen Reibungskoeffizienten und Abriebfestigkeit ist das Eis gut zu brechen ohne jedoch hochwertige flächen von Terrassen oder gehwegen zu zerkratzen. gleichfalls besitzen die Polyamid-Kanten eine gute Resistenz gegen Streusalz und Lösungsmittel.
