Creative adventures lead me through glorious fabric gardens, under magical rainbows of color, over mountains of geometry, and through oceans of ideas. It’s a place where circles can even become squares. ~Rachaeldaisy What You’ll Need A: 1 cream print square, 3" × 3", for block center 1 navy floral piece, 9" × 11"; cut into: B: 2 rectangles, 2¼" × 3", for background C: 2 rectangles, 2¼" × 6½", for background D: 4 squares, 2" × 2", for circles 4 rectangles, 4" × 5", of different prints for circles; cut each rectangle into: E: 1 square, 2" × 2" (4 total) F: 1 rectangle, 2" × 3½" (4 total) Freezer paper, 6" × 6" Assembly and Appliqué Press all seam allowances in the direction indicated by the arrows. The appliqué pattern is on page 57 and does not include seam allowances. The instructions are written for hand appliqué. 1. Sew B rectangles to opposite sides of the A square. What You’ll NeedA: 1 cream print square, 3" × 3",

4. Press a freezer-paper circle on the wrong side of each circle unit, aligning the fold lines with the seams. Using the freezer-paper circle as a guide, cut out each fabric circle, adding ¼" seam allowance. Press the seam allowance under using the edge of the freezer-paper circle as a guide, making sure the edges are smooth.

5. Remove the freezer paper. Position the circles on the background block, aligning the seam lines. Appliqué each circle in place.
