The pyramid of the Louvre was built by Leoh Ming Pei in 1985 and inaugurated in 1989.He was born in 1917 in China. He built a lot of projects in the world .In 1983 , he received the Pritzker Price.

It is a made of glass .It is 21.64m high and built on a

square base of 35.42m (same proportions as the Pyramid of

Chops). They used 603 diamonds and 70 triangles .

This system includes 128 beams maintained by 16 thin steel cables. This construction

makes a contrast with the older buildings.

Connection between the golden ratio and the pyramid of the

Louvre.The pentagram is the base of a remarkable pyramid whose lateral sides are golden triangles. If the radius of the base is 1, then its height is φ.If we assemble twelve of these pyramids on the faces of the regular dodecahedron, we get the small stellated dodecahedron. The pyramid of the Louvre is a golden pyramid.
