1. How do Fogg, Aouda and Fix to reach Yokohama? They see the San Francisco ship, then the captain of Tankadere fires his cannon, the captain of the ship hears the explosion and finally Fogg, Aouda and Fix board on the ship.

2. How do Fogg and Aouda find Passepartout in Yokohama? Fogg remember Passepartout’s life in the circus, so when he sees the poster for the travelling show, he know that it is the obvious place to look.

3. What are Fix’s plans for Fogg? Fix plan to stay with Fogg and arrest him when he arrives to England

Chapter nine

1. What new incidents must Fogg and his companions face on the train to New York? The first problem is that the train is too heavy to cross the bridge and the other problem is the attack of the Sioux Indians.

2. Why does the train stop near Fort Kearney? Because the American soldiers can help them

3. Why does Passepartout disappear? Because the Sioux Indian kidnap him
