The travellers arrive in San Francisco. From San Francisco they travel to New York by train. The Sioux Indians attack them. They escape and take another train to New York.

We must bein New York on

Their train arrives in New York at 11.15 in the evening. They are too late for the ship to Liverpool. They go toa hotel. The next morning …

Phileas Fogg arrives in Liverpool at 11.40 on 21st December. At 11.41 Detective Fix touches Mr Fogg’s shoulder.

We are in Britain now. I am adetective. I am arresting you.

You will go to prison.

Why?

Because you are themissing bank robber. Youhave got £55,000 in your

bag. The money is from theBank of England.

What do you mean?I’m not a robber.

Where are you going?

To Bordeaux, inFrance. But I don’t want

any passengers.

I can pay you eight thousanddollars. Please take us on

your ship!

Well … OK.We leave at9 o’clock.

It’s 8.25 pm.Phileas Fogghas only got20 minutes.We’re going

to winthe bet!
