GUIDE REMINDERHomeHome

You can see the Taiwan Blue Magpie and the Formosan Whistling-thrush in the mountain. Of all

the birds endemic to Taiwan, the Formosan Blue Magpie is the most familiar to local people.

Adorned with an unusually long tail (black and white segments twice the length of its body), a red beak and blue feathers, this bird is always busy storing food. Similarly, the feathers of the Formosan Whistling Thrush reflect a purplish-blue color in the sun. It is about 11.8-12.8 inches long and with a wing span of 6.3 inches.
