As shown in Fig. S4, the PAH concentration profiles are more close to the experimental data when T2

temperature profile is used. Various OPAH concentration profiles calculated based on T2 temperature profile

(shown in Fig. S5 (b)) is very similar to the results shown in Fig. 9 in the manuscript. This indicates that the

conclusions about OPAH are insensitive to the sub-mech if the PAH profiles are accurately described.
