The Arshad Ayub Graduate Business School fondly known as
AAGBS, offers a range of postgraduate programs by coursework
and research. AAGBS strives on the doctrine that continuous
learning opportunity should be accessible to all. The postgraduate
programs at AAGBS are well-recognised and well-established
and the programs offered include a spectrum of disciplines within
the business and management arena.
The postgraduate programs offered by AAGBS are the Master of
Business Administration (MBA), Master of Islamic Banking and
Finance (MIBF), Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) and
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Business Management.
In recognition of the quality of the MBA courses and operations,
AAGBS is accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency
(MQA) and The Alliance on Business Education and Scholarship for
Education (ABEST 21). The school is also a member of AACSB
(Association of Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) body.
Currently, the MBA programs are recognized by the Chartered
Institute of Management Accountant (CIMA), Financial Planning
Association of Malaysia (FPAM), Islamic Banking and Finance
Institute of Malaysia (IBFIM), and the International Centre for
Education in Islamic Finance (INCIEF).
Today, AAGBS has excellent relationships with many of the top
organizations in Malaysia and the postgraduate programs are
highly regarded by the business community. The programs at
AAGBS provide experiential learning situations and focus on
narrowing the gap between theoretical knowledge and the
practical world.
Students will also have the opportunity to expand and strengthen
their professional and personal network with AAGBS strong alumni
during and after completion of the postgraduate programs. In
addition, students have the opportunity to participate in
international exchange programs and obtain a dual master
degree through the school’s numerous international linkages with

Entry Requirement
• Possess an MBA/Master’s degree from any institution recognized by the government of
Malaysia or other qualification equivalent to a Master’s degree recognized by the UiTM Senate
• A minimum CGPA of 3.00 or equivalent • International students should have a minimum Band 6.0 for IELTS or 550 score for TOEFL • A minimum of three (3) years working experience in relevant fields • Shortlisted candidates are required to attend an interview. The candidates should also
meet other requirements deemed necessary by the Faculty before the final selection.

FULL TIME 3 - 5 years
PART TIME 3 - 6 years

Weekdays (from 6.30pm)
After the successful completion of coursework and obtaining a pass in the Comprehensive Examination, students will embark on the research phase where they are to conduct research and write a dissertation guided by their supervisors.

Students are to write a dissertation of 40,000 to 75,000 words in length with research outcomes emphasizing managerial/practical implication

• A Master’s degree in the field of Science and Technology from UiTM or other institutions of
higher learning recognized by the government of Malaysia and program recognized by Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), with relevant working experience OR
• An MBA/Master’s degree in Social Sciences from UiTM or other institutions of higher learning recognized by the government of Malaysia and program recognized by Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), and has not been involved in the academic area for more than ten (10) years
• A minimum CGPA of 3.00 or equivalent • International students should have a minimum Band 6.0 for IELTS or 550 score for TOEFL • Submission of a research proposal in the intended area of study • Shortlisted candidates are required to attend an interview. The candidates should also
meet other requirements deemed necessary by the Faculty before the final selection.
