Materials

•5” x 9” cardstock

•Scissors

•2” x 2” white paper (for measuring

•Various colors of peelable sticky paper.

Step 1: Measuring

Before pieces are attached we need to make sure they are measured correctly.

Using the 2” x 2” white paper place cut out shape on top. If it goes over the edges it is too big.

If the cut out shape fits inside our white square then it is the right size.

Step 2: Peeling

When attaching a new shape to our collage carefully peel white backing from color.

Step 3: Attaching

Begin with a rectangle and attach to one of the corners of cardstock.

Alternate between different shapes, connecting one to the previous.

It is ok to overlap a little bit to begin but try to keep to a minimum until later.

After 8 to 10 shapes have been attached to one side of paper begin on the opposite side with new shapes.

Switching from side to side helps to balance the collage.

When the left side and right sides touch then begin to fill in empty spaces.

As more shapes are added feel free to overlap more with smaller shapes.

Step 4: Finish

When finishing collage very carefully begin to scan over entire piece looking for any small spaces that are not covered.

Once finished hang on wall.
