MODERN
The Vigan Gown-Made by Tippi Ocampo-Inspired by the lacy wrought-iron grillwork often found in Philippine colonial houses in Vigan, the very first gown designed by Tippi Ocampo, used copper-wire fashioned into curly-cues as beadwork, along with hundreds of miniscule black hook-and-eyes which allowed the gown to be taken apart and transformed into different styles.
The Trapo Gown
- By Tippi Ocampo- This “trapo” gown was inspired by the rags found in markets that were pieced & sewn together from scraps of various fabrics.

Malou Castillejos loves working on natural fabrics which include the Philippines’ pina fabric, banana silk fibers, silk cocoon and other organic fabrics carefully handwoven by our country’s native weavers from Aklan, Lumban, Ilocos, Palawan, and Ifugao.
