June 16, 2017 Dear Summer Camp Parent/Participant,

Welcome to Strathmore Art Camp at the Mansion at Strathmore in North Bethesda, MD! We have many exciting and creative art programs coming up this summer, and we are happy to welcome back Rosana Azar of Creative Adventures as our Camp Director.

Attached, please find all of the health and permission forms that need to be completed and returned to Strathmore. If your family has more than one child enrolled in this program, you must fill out separate forms for each child. Please e-mail or mail the completed forms no later than 5:00pm on July 5, 2017. UPDATED CANCELLATION POLICY: Written cancellations received 4 weeks (or more) ahead of the start date for camp will receive a refund of 50% of the camp fees, 2-3 weeks ahead will be refunded 25% of the camp fees. No refunds will be given for cancellations received 1 week prior (or less) to the start date of camp. Strathmore will not refund any expenses outside the designated camp fees.

Things to bring to camp:

A full lunch Comfortable old clothes you don’t mind getting messy

Closed-toed shoes, no sandals

Things to leave at home:

Shoes with wheels are not allowed. Cell phones must be off and out of sight for all of camp. Handheld videogames, iPods,

and other electronic devices are not allowed.

*Please remember to pack a full lunch for your camper. We do have water fountains in the building.

Friday at 2:00pm: Art Show and Reception

Parents and guardians are invited to join us on the final afternoon of camp, from 2:00-3:00pm, for an art

exhibition featuring your camper’s artistic creations! Bring your family and friends and let’s celebrate a

wonderful week of art.

*Please bring a box or bag to carry home the artwork.

New This Year: Extended Day Camp Extended-day camp is available this year for Kids Camp only, from 3:00-5:30pm. Creative Adventures

camp staff will provide supervised activities including crafts, games, puzzles and outdoor fun. You can

purchase all five days for $125 OR individual days for $25/day by calling the Ticket Office at 301-581-

5100. Drop-off and pick-up procedures are as below, with the exception that parents/guardians must

pick up students NO LATER THAN 5:30PM.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE PROCEDURES – KIDS CAMP

In order to ensure each student's safety and well-being, we have instituted the following procedures for daily drop off and pick up. Please contact us if you have any questions, comments, or concerns regarding the drop off/pick up procedure. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

1. Drop off begins promptly at 8:45am. Please do not arrive before 8:45am, as we are unable to accommodate early arrivals.

2. Please notify Strathmore if your child will not attend camp due to illness, emergencies, or

other contingences. You may leave a detailed phone message by calling the Strathmore offices at 301-581-5147.

3. Only adults designated in advance on the Transportation Release Form may pick up your child. For safety reasons, we will not release a child to anyone else, regardless of what that person tells us, unless you have given written permission in advance to do so. You (or your designees*) are required to drop off and pick up your child at the Mansion at Strathmore each day. Any request to deviate from this plan must be submitted in writing to Destini Collins at dcollins@strathmore.org.

4. Pick up takes place between 3:00pm and 3:10pm. Please arrive no later than 3:10pm every

day.

5. On the first day of camp, please park in the mansion lot and walk your child to the front door of the mansion. On the following days, we will have staff standing at the bottom of the Mansion steps and can release your child to you at your car.

6. Staff will take attendance each morning. Each afternoon, parents or guardians must initial the sign-out form before leaving.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS

From the Beltway (outer loop) Strathmore is located just 1/2 mile north of the Capital Beltway. Take Exit 34 and head north on Wisconsin Ave. Route 355 (Rockville Pike). Pass the Grosvenor-Strathmore Metro station. Strathmore is located just after the intersection of 355 and Tuckerman Lane, on your right.

From the Beltway (inner loop) Exit the Capital Beltway (I-495) onto Old Georgetown Road (Route 187, Exit 36). Tum left off the exit ramp onto Old Georgetown Road. Proceed for about 1.5 miles. Turn right onto Tuckerman Lane. Turn left onto Rockville Pike (Route 355). Strathmore is located 50 yards from the intersection on your right.

From the 1-270 Spur (heading south) Exit the I-270 Spur onto Old Georgetown Road (Route 187). Follow the signs to Old Georgetown Road, 1 mile. Turn left onto Rt. 187. Within a 1/4 mile, tum right onto Tuckerman Lane. Turn left onto Rockville Pike (Route 355). Strathmore is located 50 yards from the intersection on your right.

On Rockville Pike (heading north) Strathmore is located 1.12 mile north of the Capital Beltway on Rockville Pike. It will be on your right, 50 yards after the intersection of Rockville Pike (Route 355) and Tuckerman Lane.

On Rockville Pike (heading south) Strathmore is located on Rockville Pike (Route 355) just south of White Flint Mall. After passing the intersection of Strathmore Avenue, Strathmore will be on your left. There is break in the median for Strathmore's main entrance, so be in the left lane as you approach the grounds.

By Metro Strathmore is located adjacent to the Grosvenor-Strathmore Metro station, on the Red Line. When exiting the station, tum left along the pedestrian walkway. Strathmore is located across Tuckerman Lane and through the trees. You will see the mansion atop the hill.

PERMISSION FOR USE OF PHOTOGRAPHIC/VIDEO IMAGE

the Strathmore Hall Foundation, Inc (“Strathmore”) to use and publish the image of My Child captured in

photograph(s) or video(s) (“Image”) on or in connection with Strathmore’s Web site, catalogs, brochures, directories

or in other media for public relations, marketing, advertising, and any other lawful purposes whatsoever, and (ii)

expressly acknowledge and agree that Strathmore is released and discharged from any and all claims I and/or My

Child have or may in the future have in connection with the foregoing use of the Image. I agree not to make any claim

against Strathmore or any of Strathmore’s respective licensees, assignees, parents, subsidiaries, or affiliated entities

and each of their respective owners, shareholders, employees, agents, officers and directors as a result of the

recording or publication of the Image (including, without limitation, any claim that such use invades any right of

privacy and/or publicity). I agree that Strathmore exclusively owns all right, title, and interest (including, without

limitation, all copyrights) in and to the Image.

I represent and warrant that I have read and understand the foregoing, and that I have the authority to

execute this Permission for Use of Photographic/Video Image (“Release”) for the purposes enumerated above and I
