LIFE LIST
Murillo B.E. was born in 1617 in Seville, Spain.
Remained orphan, he lived with a local artist which influenced his early works.
Here the painter learns to turn out religious pictures.
Murillo is one of the most sentimental Baroque painters.

MIDDLE STAGE
Some of Murillo’s drawings were sold to churches.
His paintings emphasize the peaceful joyous aspects of spiritual life.
Early pictures are affectionate studies of the ragged boys and the flower girls.

THE LAST STAGE OF LIFE
His works are nearly all of serene religious composition.
In 1660 Bartolome helped found a public Academy of Art, later named it’s president.
In 1681 while drawing one of his pictures on the monastery wall he felt and as result, in 1682 Murillo Bartolome Esteban died.
