• USE MORE THAN ONE MEDIA PER PAGE

• USE ANALYTICAL/ANNOTATION SKILLS ON AT LEAST EVERY OTHER PAGE

• THINK ABOUT LITERACY AND WRITING SKILLS TO HELP BUILD YOUR “VISUAL STORY”

• TRY AND WORK ON A REALLY DETAILED PIECE OF WORK EVERY WEEK – THAT IS A 2-3 HOUR PIECE OF WORK

• USE VARIATIONS OF DRAWING TECHNIQUES: I.E. CROSSHATCHING, CONTINUOUS LINE, DOT WORK, MARK MAKING, BLENDING ETC.

• ADD ATTACHMENTS TO YOUR PAGES (objects, relief)

Sending Work In for AssessmentPlease send in the drawings you have completed so far (via pictures & email). Your work will be assessed using the following criteria, your ability to:

• Be creative and imaginative in journal & page design and layouts

• Make personal reflections and thoughts about this strange time we are living in at the moment

• Explore a range of media, techniques and processes to tell your story

• Demonstrating skill in accurate proportion

• Demonstrate ability in using tonal variation, seamless blending and back shading where appropriate

• Demonstrate skill in using the visual elements (colour, shape, pattern, texture, line, contrast..) to tell your personal story

• Use writing/words and quotes alongside your drawings to enhance your pages and tell your personal story

• Create imaginative lettering to tell your story
