What is Art of Reuse?

It’s a fun contest. We give you kit containing reusable leather scraps, a punch, a needle and

thread, for Rs.10. Hidesign is celebrating its Icons and we want to see who inspires you! Design something that reflects or symbolizes your Icon, whoever that person may be.

What is the judging procedure?

The first round of shortlisting will be based on votes on our facebook page. The 10 most

popular designs will be judged by eminent judges from the fashion, design and retail industry. You could win an all expense paid trip to Pondicherry with a chance to design your

own Hidesign bag. Runner Ups win Rs.15,000/- or Rs.10,000/- cash vouchers from Hidesign. Design students get a chance to intern at Hidesign.

You can buy the kit online: www.amazon.in/hidesign. We recommend that you

subscribe to our social media page (www.facebook.com/hidesign) that will also keep you

updated on the contest and provide tips.

What do I do after I take the kit?

The instructions on how to use the tools are printed at the back of the kit and beyond that, it’s entirely where your creativity leads you. For inspiration you could look at the sample

designs from our previous contests and other ideas on this year’s theme on our social media

channels.

Do I have to return the finished designs? Yes. There are 2 steps -

1. Pack your finished design in the same box that you have received. Stick the Hidesign

address label on the box. Call the FEDEX toll free number to get your package picked up Toll Free Number: 18004194343. Please mention the account number 327513451 while you are

getting the package picked up. This is a prepaid courier service that you will not have to pay for.

2. E-mail good quality pictures of your designs along with your name, and a two line

description on your icon and what inspired you to make your piece of art. Please mention that

you picked up your kit on Amazon. Email these details to hidesignartofreuse@gmail.com Make sure you have a plain background for the pictures so that your design looks great! We

will upload these on the Hidesign social media channels. In addition, you are free to upload styled images with the #ArtofReuse as many times as you want and share it with your

friends. Voting ends 9th August 2015!

What if I finish my design before 31st July?

The faster you finish making your design and bring it back to the store, the more time you have to get your friends to vote!

What if I need more leather for my design?

You can add additional material of your own to the leather provided in the kit if required,

however, the scrap leather should be the most important element of your design.

Your kits are over. Can I use my own material and make a design and participate in the contest?

Sorry, but the contest is restricted to 2450 entries on a first come, first serve basis. You need

to use the leather scraps from the Art of Reuse kit only.
