Step 1: Peel off old wallpaper, revealing remaining glue and residue.

Step 2: Apply wallpaper remover to soften remaining glue.

Step 3: Scrape all glue and residue off walls.

Step 4: Check newly scraped walls for seams, cracks and wall damage that will need skim coating.

Step 5: Apply at least two layers of skim coat, to areas with damage. Sanding in between coats may benecessary for a smooth finish.
