Dear Parents,

Welcome to the final newsletter for the 2019-2020 School Year! We have made it! It is

officially the last Friday of the school year and we have achieved the impossible. We

never anticipated that our lives would look the way they have for the last twelve weeks.

I cannot express my thanks enough to each of you for your support as we worked

through the digital learning platform and expectations. You all have been an amazing

anchor for our kids and they have been successful because of the team effort put forth

by everyone! If you are interested in continuing summer reading or engagement in

summer activities with a slight academic base, please see the flier located at

Discovery Education, MackinVIA, Clever, Khan Academy, Games & Activities. Take it in

stride and know there is no expectation that anything is completed over the summer,

but we wanted to provide you opportunities in the event you want them.

It is time that we say goodbye to outgoing staff and hello to incoming staff members.

Leaving us this year are due to retirement are Teresa Bretfeld (Host Nation) and Hilda

Jewell (1st Grade). PCSing or transferring are Jaclyn Gaudette (K), Candace

Mosqueda(3rd), Vida Asare (SPED), Laurie Mattern (2nd), Renee Fulghum (Clerk); Sarah

Portillo-Lehrman (Kinder Para), Heather Schwartz (Art). Joining our staff are: Tammy

Kearns (4th), Meghan Frederick (Kinder), Concetta Pasqua (Art).

We would also like to take a moment to say Thank You to our PTO for their ongoing

support throughout the school year, clear up to the end-they assisted us with finding

homes for the lost and found items. All items not claimed that were left at the school

will be donated to the Thrift Shop. And, a final Thank You to parents who came to pick

their student items up this week, the process was smooth and everyone did a great job

following directions of staying in your cars. We LOVED seeing the smiles on everyone’s

faces and we LOVED seeing all of you!

We are uncertain as to what next school year looks like, but what we are certain of is

that we will be educating students. As more information unfolds and we have a better

idea of what August will look like, we will communicate that information to you. In the

meantime, we would like to sign off to one of the weirdest endings to a school year that

any of us have ever experienced! We hope that you all have an amazing summer, stay

safe, and enjoy each other. We will see ya right back here in August!
