AP ART BREADTH PIECE ONE

#1 – LINE COMPOSITION

Due date AND Critique Day:

Friday, Sept. 4th.

If you miss this critique day you have a 3 page paper due by Sept 11th. 1 page per piece.

Grading: Everything will be graded on the AP Scale. I included the requirements for 2D Breadth section. We will grade each piece according to the AP scale at the critique. Main thing that must be included: personal voice and demonstration of the art elements and principles.

THE BREAKDOWN OF A LINE COMPOSITION:

· Objective: Create a composition that creates depth and space using various lines from layering materials onto a page. See examples.

· Suggestion: Start by choosing a color scheme and sticking to it. Decide how to break up the picture plain and then fill the space using lines.

· Medium: You choose. No paint unless I approve it.
