HISTORY→ Hoans Brinker as the first inventor of roller skatings
→ In 1770→ a Belgian named Joseph Merlin created the skates incorporating four wheels in a single line,these early skates had metal wheels and it was difficult to stop.
→ In 1789→ Van Lede Lodewijik Maximilian introduced the inline skate in France, where he was called “patin a terre”
→ In April 1924→ the Federation Internationale du Patinage to Gypsy (FIPR) was founded in Montreux (Switzerland)
→ 1947→ The FIPR organized the first figure skating championships i in Washington, USA
→ The FIPR was named FIRS
MODALITIES Figures:similar to compulsory or "school" figures on ice
Freestyle :individuals performing jumps and spins
Pairs :a subset of freestyle with two people performing jumps, spins, and lifts
Dance: couple
Show teams: consist that a group dance at the same time

FREESTYLE’S RULE→ The free skating competition :consists of a short program and long program
→ Short program→ In the short program must complete six obligatory elements(simple, double or triple jumps, according to the category), pirouettes turns in multiple rotations with different wheels, and finally the footwork.

SHOW’S RULE→ The element allowed in a show are→ although in a limited number
the elements of pairs are not allowed in a show
→ The programs are value→first reflecting the difficulty and program,design and technical of the group
→ second the presentation by the expression, interpretation and use of
costumes and makeup to reflect the matter of the music
