NUA Gallery exhibits Abstract Winter programme
The Gallery at Norwich University of the Arts (NUA) exhibits a wide variety of work by artists and designers within a contemporary city centre gallery space. We invite you to set time aside in your diary for our upcoming shows; two local artists who question their environment and the emotional connections within it but with very different practical outcomes.
3 December - 11 January (closed 22 December - 1 January), painter Alec Cumming will couple explorations of urban Deli with experiences growing up in rural Norfolk to create exciting abstract pieces in 'To Wander, To Lust'. Cumming refined his practice whilst studying Fine Art at NUA, graduating in 2007. Following the success of his first solo show at the British Council in Delhi and in association with Art 18/21, these large format and highly colourful canvasses bring a taste of India to Norwich.
22 January – 1 March NUA graduate and Photographer Noah Da Costa will share his use of simple digital techniques like ‘flipping’ to create kaleidoscopic architectural images. The focus on unusual perspectives brings this exhibition 'Concrete' to life. The influence of local architecture experienced in childhood and his recent commercial work, combines familiar textures and layers to create a three-dimensional appearance.
All exhibitions are free. œGallery open Tuesday – Saturday, 12 – 5pm œThe Gallery at NUAœSt Georges StreetœNorwichœNR3 1BBwww.nua.ac.uk/thegallery
