The Alliance for Young Artists & Writers, a nonprofit organization, identifies teenagers with exceptional artistic and literary talent and brings their remarkable work to a national audience through The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. In the past five years alone, submissions have topped 700,000 works, and students have been eligible for over $25 million in awards and scholarships. The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards continues to be the longest-running, most prestigious recognition program for creative teens in the U.S., and the largest source of scholarships for young artists and writers. Visit www.artandwriting.org for more information.

The U.S. Department of Education’s Student Art Exhibit Program, now in its tenth year under the direction of the Office of Communications and Outreach and the Office of Innovation and Improvement, features art created by stu-dents in U.S. schools and around the world. The program provides students and teachers an opportunity to display creative work from the classroom in a highly public place that honors their work as an effective path to learning and knowledge for all. Contact Jackye Zimmermann at (202) 401-0762 or at [email protected] to visit the exhibition or learn more about the program.

The President’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities (PCAH) has served each Administration since 1982, advancing the White House’s arts and humanities objectives by working directly with the three primary cultural agencies—National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS)—to initiate and support key programs; to recognize excellence in the fields of the arts and humanities; and to encourage private-public partnerships around those disciplines. Contact Lindsey Clark at (202) 682-5409 or visit www.pcah.gov for more information.
