If you are thinking about becoming a Canadian Tire Associate Dealer, it means you are ready to commit, deliver results and continue to grow and learn. Self-motivation is key.

We look for hands-on individuals who will commit to their business full-time. Successful candidates possess exceptional business and financial acumen with a proven track record of success, whether it be in their own business or working for a small or large organization. Candidates must have solid people leadership and interpersonal skills within teams and the community and have a passion for serving our customers. Retail experience is an asset, however, we look for transferable skills that will make you an exceptional retailer.

YOUR INVESTMENT

• You will need to inject all of your personal equity into the business (up to 25% of the value of store inventory and fixed assets) to become a Dealer. As part of the selection process, a candidate will be required to submit his or her personal statement of net worth. One hundred percent of this initial investment goes toward the purchase of store’s inventory and assets.

• The first store will be assigned by Canadian Tire Corporation and may be an existing location or a new build.

• Candidates must be willing to relocate to the community in which the store is located. This may be anywhere in English- or French-speaking Canada, depending on your fluency in either language.

• The land and buildings are corporately-owned, and Dealers are charged for license fee as a percentage of sales.

• Dealer e�orts and success are directly recognized with our performance-based mobility system, allowing a Dealer to begin in a small-volume store, and progress to larger volume stores as criteria are met. Dealer mobility is a critical part of Canadian Tire’s success as it inspires Dealers to excellence by rewarding high performers with moves to more profitable stores, invigorating the network and driving sales.
