Tintin is a young, but renowned investigative reporter who
lives in Europe with his amazing
dog, Snowy.
One day they stumble across a
model of a legendary ship
called the Unicorn at an
outdoor market.
As soon as Tintin buys the
model, he is confronted by two men, who both want to
buy his boat…
&
… desperately, insistently and for no
known reason. Especially one of
them - Mr. Sakharine…
… Tintin refuses to sell, and with that,
his adventure begins.
Then, Tintin discovers that, Unicorn holds a
scroll that can lead to Sir Francis
Haddock’s treasure from the 17th
century!!
Tintin puts the scroll in his wallet,
but it gets stolen by a pick pocket.
Thinking that Tintin still has the
scroll, sinister Sakharine kidnaps
him (and stowaway Snowy)
and places them aboard
the Karaboudjan cargo ship, that
is sailing to Bagghar, Africa.
On board Tintin and Snowy meet
captive and usually drunk
Captain Haddock, descendant of Sir Francis Haddock.
They free him from his mutinous crew, bought off
by Sakharine, and escape together.
Tintin realizes that there are three
scrolls hidden inside each of the three
models of the Unicorn, and
Sakharine is after them!
Tintin’s Unicorn contained one
scroll, Sahkarin has another one and the third one is in
Bagghar.
But when put together, the scrolls
will reveal the location of the
sunken Unicorn, and its treasure.
Tintin is now determined to get to the third scroll and the treasure
before his evil rival.
With the help of captain Haddock, Tintin and Snowy sail the oceans,
fly a seaplane,
crash-land in Africa,
and cross the Sahara desert on foot to get
to Bagghar.
Hallucinating from the heat Haddock remembers the
story of the Unicorn.
Sir Francis Haddock’s ship
filled with treasures was attacked and
sunken by a pirate Red Rackham the
ancestor of Mr. Sakharin.
Now the battle between Haddock
and Sakharin becomes personal.
The third model ship encased in a bullet-proof glass
case is in Bagghar, owned by the wealthy
Omar Ben Salaad.
Using the voice of a famous opera
singer, Sakharine shatters the glass
and his trained hawk steals the
third scroll.
Tintin, Haddock and Snowy chase the thief down to the harbor, but to
no avail.
Meanwhile, detectives
Thompson and Thompson find
Tintin’s wallet with the first scroll and deliver it to Tintin
in Bagghar.
Sahkarin manages to steal it too and escapes with all three scrolls.
Tintin’s spirit is crushed.
Captain Haddock encourages Tintin not to give up and
Tintin comes up with a plan to stop
Sakharin.
Failed? You can’t let it defeat you! You hit a wall? You’ve
got to push through it!
Via radio Tintin gets in touch with the police
back in Europe
and they promptly
arrest Sakharine on the dockside.
Having all three scrolls, Tintin and
Haddock finally find the map with a
location of Haddock’s treasure at the bottom of the
sea!
From that adventure they learned that you can reach any goal as long as you persevere
and don’t give up.
