Gandapura House

Location : Gandapura Rd., bandung, Indonesia

Architect : Asa Darmatriaji

Commencement : July 2005

Deadline : October 2005

Built-Up Area : 416sqm

This project was appointed by a dentist to renovate his old house by adding few rooms to work in new function forhis own clinic and reutilizing room by room that is originally not sufficient for his recent requirements. Despite that, face lift up of the building is another concern.

The approach conceptually allowing natural sunlight to light up all bedrooms as hygienic reason and preventiveapproach of a humid space which is unhealthy. Optimizing a courtyard nestled between the services area to revitalizethe house view, and for reason it is really dense urban area that has no view at all. Another additional rooms are thewaiting room for clinic, re division rooms to make clearer function such as family room, terrace, dining room, andutilizing roof deck for service yard to optimize the house functioning optimally.

Renovation that so stringent in relation to low budget only allow face modification by adding balcony and timberplanks is the optimal approach that is on the conscience.
