Frosh Orientation Basics
➢ Mandatory 2-day, overnight experience for ALL
➢ Separate schedules for students and parents/guests
➢ Student Fee = $250*
➢ Parent/Guest Fee = $80*
*Non-refundable!
How do I sign up for
Frosh Orientation?
1) Log on to: https://nextsteps.sjsu.edu
2) Select and reserve an available session/date by May 1, 2015.
3) Pay your Frosh Orientation fee through CashNet: https://commerce.cashnet.com/SJSUORIENTYou will get directed to CashNet in the NextSteps Portal.
4) Your session confirmation will automatically generate in NextSteps. You can refer to it anytime in your account.
Important: Follow ALL steps in the NextSteps process by MAY 1, 2015 to ensure enrollment!

Parent/Family Orientation
❖ $80 for the 2-day program
➢ Occurs concurrently with Frosh Orientation
➢ Note: Lodging is not included in the Parent Orientation Fee

o Sign-up online or at check-in (day of Orientation)
Tips to have the best
experience:
➢ Complete your NextSteps process BEFORE making any travel arrangements for Orientation
➢ Choose a session date you know you can attend
➢ No changes to session dates will be made.
➢ Enter correct data. Double check!
➢ Do NOT mail in your payment. You must pay for Orientation through CashNet by May 1, 2015.
➢ Don’t forget to take the ELM/EPT.
➢ Do it now! Test scores MUST be on file before Orientation.
➢ Frosh Orientation is what you make of it!
➢ Don’t be afraid to make new friends and be open to new
information. HAVE FUN!!

o ~3,000 attendee event! FREE & FUN giveaways, games, & food!

o Get connected early with SJSU! Student organization fairs, socials, department welcomes, athletic events, educational workshops, and much more!
