Background The Democratic Republic of Timor-
Leste is a predominantly agriculturel
country,
Timor-Leste has never been
conducted a census of agriculture.
Timor-Leste is a lack of structural
information on the agricultural sector.
The agricultural statistics system of
Timor-Leste based on administrative
reports received from extension
workers that have no bench mark.

(TLAC)

TLAC Objectives:
To know the agriculture structural data in order to be
able to properly define policies and strategies for the
Government to effectively improve the development of
the agriculture sector.
To strengthen the rural and agricultural statistics
fundamental to the implementation of the National
Policy on Food Security and Nutrition for the
Government to allocate adequate resources.

TLAC overall strategy (integrated agricultural census and
surveys)
TLAC Scope:
To collect at national level the necessary data to know in
a scientific way the reality of the country in terms of
agricultural and livestock production, forestry and
fisheries.
