    With the advent of social media in the world today it is not surprising that individuals and businesses arelooking for ways to fully take advantage of them, and keeping in mind that their capabilities are notentirely tapped yet and still posses huge potentials for future development. Consider the fact, researchesare shown that there are now well over a thousand publicly traded companies and smaller firms that main-tain an active Blog, Twitter feed, Facebook fan page, and YouTube channel. Facebook alone boasts addi-tional 50 million new users worldwide last summer and Twitter is now valued at over $1 billion by investors.The social media penetration rate is keep increasing throughout the world, and with the upgrading ofinfrastructures the rate is expected to rise even further, especially in the case of less developed countries.

    With millions of people adopting social networking, businesses are keen to participate and are increasingtheir social media budgets accordingly. For businesses, the social media also offers huge potential benefitsfrom reduced costs and enhanced performance. To a certain extent, businesses have started to utilise socialmedia for the purpose of marketing, building brand, engaging customers, and knowledge sharing. How-ever, these practices are relatively new, and many other businesses are still groping in the dark when itcomes to utilising the social media for their benefit.

    It is the aim of the Asian Bloggers and Social Media conference to introduce and educate individuals andbusinesses on how to adopt and effectively take advantage of the social media.     Terms & Conditions:

    1. Fees are inclusive of program materials and refreshments.

    2. Payment Terms: Following completion and return of the registration form, full payment is required within5 days from receipt of invoice. PLEASE NOTE: payment must be received prior to the conference date. A

    receipt will be issued on payment. Due to limited conference space, we advise early registration to avoiddisappointment. A 50% cancellation fee will be charged under the terms outlined below. We reservethe right to refuse admission i f payment is not received on time.

    3. Cancellation/Substitution: Provided the total fee has been paid, substitutions at no extra charge up to5 days before the event are allowed. Substitutions between 5 days and the date of the event will beallowed subject to an administration fee of equal to 10% of the total fee that is to be transferred.Otherwise all bookings carry a 50% cancellation liability immediately after a signed sales contract hasbeen received by My Events (as above). Cancellations must be received in writing by mail or faxsix (6) weeks before the conference is to be held in order to obtain a full credit for any future My Eventsconference. Thereafter, the full conference fee is payable and is nonrefundable. The service charge iscompletely non-refundable and non-creditable. Payment terms are ve days and payment must be madeprior to the start of the conference. Nonpayment or non-attendance does not constitute cancellation.By signing this contract, the client agrees that in case of dispute or cancellation of this contract that MyEvents will not be able to mitigate its losses for any less than 50% of the total contract value. If, for anyreason, My Events decides to cancel or postpone this conference, My Events is not responsible forcovering airfare, hotel, or other travel costs incurred by clients. The conference fee will not be refunded,but can be credited to a future conference. Event program content is subject to change without notice.

    4. Copyright: All intellectual property rights in all materials produced or distributed by My Events inconnection with this event is expressly reserved and any unauthorized duplication, publication ordistribution is prohibited.

    5. Data Protection: Client con rms that it has requested and consented to My Events retaining clientinformation on My Events group companies database to be used by My Events groups companies andpassed to selected third parties, to assist in communicating products and services which may be ofinterest to the client. If the client wishes to stop receiving such information please inform My Events via

    6. Important note: While every reasonable e ort will be made to adhere to the advertise package, My Eventsort will be made to adhere to the advertise package, My Eventsreserves the right to change event dates, sites or location or omit event features, or merge the eventwith another event, as it deems necessary without penalty and in such situations no refunds, part refundsor alternative o ers shall be made. In the event that My Events permanently cancels the event for anyers shall be made. In the event that My Events permanently cancels the event for anyreason whatsoever, (including, but not limited to any force majeure occurrence) and provided that theevent is not postponed to a later date nor is merged with another event, the Client shall receive a creditnote for the amount that the Client has paid to such permanently cancelled event, valid for up to sixmonths to be used at another My Events event. No refunds, part refunds or alternative o ers shall beers shall bemade.

    7. Client hereby acknowledges that he/she speci cally authorizes that My Events charge the credit cardlisted above for the amount provided herein; that this Contract is valid, binding and enforceable; andthat he/she has no basis to claim that any payments required under this Contract at any time areimproper, disputed or unauthorized in any way.
