AMERICAN SOCIETY OF INTERVENTIONAL PAIN PHYSICIANS2 ASIPP 16TH ANNUAL MEETING | APRIL 4-6, 2014 | NEW ORLEANS, LA

It is our distinct pleasure and honor to invite you to the American Societyof Interventional Pain Physicians’ (ASIPP) 16th Annual Meeting, IPM: Neither Luxury nor Experimental but Effective and Necessary - Evidence-Based Advocay, in collaboration with the Louisiana Society of Interventional Pain Physicians. The meeting will take place in New Orleans, LA on Friday, April 4 through Sunday, April 6, 2014 at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside.

This year, ASIPP is departing from it’s tradition of meeting in Washington for the Annual Meeting and Capitol Hill visits to focus solely on our Annual Meeting. In an effort to meet the needs of interventional pain physicians and other providers as well, we have created an educational program of the highest caliber covering topics of critical interest to interventional pain physicians, mid-level providers, and staff.

Because of today’s environment of regulatory and competitive issues, we must be completely informed in order to assure the emerging specialty of interventional pain management does not become extinct. The preservation of interventional pain management is in our hands. This year’s program should prove to be one of the most exciting, enriching, and memorable of any meeting we have ever held. This year’s meeting will be focused on evidence-based medicine for interventional pain management, practice management, emerging technology in IPM, the importance of advocacy at the state level for our survival, and many more topics.

We offer an extensive practice management session with multiple and intensive coding and compliance lectures. This session is ideal for physicians but is invaluable for their staff. You could easily consider sending your staff to this meeting as an investment. They will walk away armed with the information they need to better understand the billing and coding issues they face on a daily basis.

The faculty is made up of experts in the field of IPM, practice management, and governmental affairs. Whether you have been a member of ASIPP since its inception, are a new member, or have yet to become a member, we are confident that this event will provide the much needed information to help you in the evolving specialty of interventional pain management.

This year we have invited Devi E. Nampiaparampil, MD, to provide the Manchikanti Distinguished lecture. She is more famously known as “Doctor Devi.” Devi is an American physician whose research in developing strategies to prevent and treat chronic pain has been most helpful to the specialty of IPM. She performs x-ray-guided invasive spinal procedures for pain, teaches medical students and trainees, comments on medical issues for various platforms, and has appeared on CNN, CBS, The Dr. Oz Show, and even General Hospital.

We are also honored to have former U.S. Assistant Secretary of Health and Human Services, Ben Sass, PhD to provide a lecture on “Navigating Uncertainty in Health Care and Surviving as Individual Pain Physicians in the New Era.”

We invite you to join us on Saturday evening for our annual business dinner meeting for an evening that will include an update on ASIPP, recognition, and celebration. We hope you will join us for this important part of the meeting and take the opportunity to get to know your fellow ASIPP members.

We hope you are as excited to attend the ASIPP 16th Annual Meeting in the great city of New Orleans, LA as we are to present it. On behalf of the Board of Directors of ASIPP and LSIPP, we welcome you to join us for one of the most exciting, distinguished, and beneficial meetings you will attend all year.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity provided to you by the American Society of Interventional Pain and the Louisiana Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.
