What is the success rate of DTI students passing the state certification exam?The average success rate for DTI’s students passing the state certification exam is over 85%.

Does DTI Assist in job placement?DTI assists graduates in the employment process by providing leads on job openings, referrals, assistance in preparing resumes, and prepares students for the market by conducting mock interviews and career workshops.

Does DTI offer Financial Assistance?No, At this time we do not offer Financial Assistance. However, DTI does offer payment plans. DTI also has a relationship with our local bank that will provide our students (who have good/fair credit) credit card based loans for up to the full tuition amount at 0% interest for the first 15 months

Dialysis Training Institute is one of the mostexperienced Institutionally Accredited Hemodialysis Training Schools in the State of California. We have been providing students with superior training since 2000. DTI takes great pride in providing our students with current and up to date information while using modern technology and equipment.

Our program is centered around Quality Patient Care. Students learn the technical skills necessary to succeed in the field while learning to maintain compassion and sensitivity for the patients needs.

With so many years of experience we have built long term relationships with all the major dialysis providers which opens up an array of opportunities for our students.

Thousands of students have successfully graduated and completed our programs. Upon completion of the program technician graduates are fully prepared to take the State Certification Exam.

The basic hemodialysis training program is an entry-level training program that provides theory and practical instruction in the care and treatment of renal patients. This program leads to the occupations of Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT) or Hemodialysis trained nurse. The nurse

specialty option is only available to those students who already hold a valid California registered nurse license.) The training program comprises 160 hours of classroom and laboratory training, and 155 hours of clinical externship training (for a total of 315 training hours) in the fundamental aspects of hemodialysis.

Program OverviewA prospective student interested in admission to the Basic Hemodialysis Training Program at DTI must:

•Be 18 years of age by the scheduled startingdate of clinical externship.

•Submit a completed enrollment package

•Participate in a face-to-face interview

•Achieve a passing score on the DTIEntrance Exam

•Provide evidence of High SchoolGraduation, or equivalent and

•Provide two forms of government issuedidentification

Externship Clinical externship is included in the program and students will be interviewed for placement at a clinic or hospital with a preceptor for the duration of the program.

LaboratoryOur laboratory environment models a clinical setting by using the latest Cannulation arms, Fresenius 2008T, and 2008K’s, B-Braun Dialog Plus dialysis machines as well as a variety of other models which are utilized in clinics, hospital and home settings.
