About Oxford HR

Founded in 1995, Oxford HR is a specialist boutique global executive search and HR consultancy, focusing on the For Purpose/ social impact/ not-for-profit sector to find, support and develop exceptional leaders.

SEARCH FOR A BETTER WORLD is our value proposition and strap line. We believe this sums up why we do what we do and how we do it.

Our organisational culture contributes unique comparative advantage. We prefer to work with our clients and one other in a positive mutually supportive collaborative partnership.

We recognise each organisation has its own individual culture and sub-cultures and our ethos involves respecting the expertise of the people in the room, often drawn from their own life experiences as well as their academic and personal interests.

We value diversity, we employ people from c17 nationalities and have a collective fluency in over 14 languages.

We’re collegiate rather than hierarchical.

We are innovative and use the latest technology to support our work.

Sustainability and climate change are important to us. We’ve mapped Sustainable Development Goals to our strategic plan and developed an internal Climate Action Plan – we know we are in a climate emergency and we’re scrutinising our (and our suppliers) use of natural resources and emissions.

We distinguish ourselves from our competitors by a combination of international development, Not-For-Profit, For-Profit, HR and Organisational Psychology skills and expertise.

Oxford HR aims to be the foremost global For Purpose executive recruitment, assessment, development and learning provider.

We aim to build strong relationships by doing the right thing for our clients and their candidates.

• We use evidence-based methodologies that decidedly increase the likelihood of a successful hire, reducing risk, reputational damage and cost of a poor appointment.

• We endeavour to ensure our solutions are relevant and reflect the needs of organisations national and organisational culture and can design bespoke solutions, if needed.

• Oxford HR takes an ‘agnostic approach’ to selecting psychometric providers and their tests. This means that we don’t have a favourite provider of psychometrics and that we will provide solutions clients prefer and that are the best for their context and requirement. We do however use measures that have been rigorously scrutinised to confirm their research and evidence base, validity and reliability etc.

• We aim to build strong relationships by doing the right thing for our clients and their candidates. We ‘give back’ providing strengths based, constructive, useful organisational and candidate feedback.

• We work with clients using data to continuously improve our approach, to ensure we select and develop the very best candidates and that we get it right each and every time.
