Protection of Children Act Assessment

Susan has cerebral palsy, she is confined to a wheelchair and cannot verbalise. Susan lives with her parents but visits Little Dales day centre where you work five days per week. Susan along with other residents is looking forward to a holiday in a holiday camp by the sea.

The accommodation will be in a caravan. Each caravan will have two residents staying in it.

You are tasked with assessing the appropriate arrangements for Susan.

(1) Thinking about her needs and the Protection of Children Act what would you check out and what might her finished care plan look like?

(2) Please state why you have come to each conclusion.

(3) Who would you check your arrangements with?
