Asset Management Locating the Asset Management ModuleThe Asset Management module in Gamma NetOne allows users to maintain a detailed record of parts at all locations. The parts can be added or moved between locations and an audit can be recorded to confirm the data held within Gamma NetOne is in line with the parts held at a location.

The Asset Management screen is located by selecting the Asset Management option from the navigation bar.

Parts Catalogue BOM (Bill of Materials) Tab

Allows the creation of part data. Parts are assigned to a Supplier; allowing queries of parts that are relevant to a supplier. Also control of parts, re-order quantities and serialising parts. Parts created here pull through to various modules within Gamma NetOne.

This tab is only available when a part is designated as a Kit from within the Parts List Tab. It is here that the parts that are used to create the kit are specified.

Re-Order Tab Parts List Tab

From here re-ordering limits for the selected part are specified. For instance if a maximum amount of 5 and a minimum of 2 of the part is required in stock.

The Catalogue screen automatically enters into the Parts List tab. If required, data can be queried or created in this screen.

Part Prices Tab Units TabHere the summary information of a part is displayed, for example fixed price as specified in the Price History screen, also currency part was purchased in, such as GBP for Great British Pounds.

Allows definition of serial numbers against selected parts. Supplier ID and Part No fields populate dependant on part selected; Parts List tab.

Price History Part Details Tab

Accessing the speed menu over an active field within the Parts List tab gives access to the Price History screen. The data shown refers to the manufacturer of the part.

The data shown here will populate if previously defined in the Parts List tab. Highlighted fields cannot be edited, all other fields can.

DDF Details

Accessing the speed menu over an active field and select DDF Appearances under options to access the screen. The DDF Appearances screen allows the definition of port/positions on the DDF rack.

Handy TipsWhen entering parts into the catalogue, only those that are selected as Type: Transmitter Equipment will require DDF Appearance definitions.

When entering part serial numbers into the Units tab, it is important to select a location first. Accessed from the speed menu; Options > Location…

Materials Management Add Parts

Displays all parts recorded at a given location and allows the Add or Move of parts to other locations. Faulty parts can be moved into repair stores from here and a history of part movement at a location can be displayed.

The Add Parts button accesses the Add Parts screen, which allows parts to be added to pre-defined site or store locations.

Move Parts History

The From Location and To Location buttons are used in the same way as in Add Part, these buttons access the Location screen, where a query can be performed and a location chosen for the part to be moved to.

The History screen displays all movements of parts that have occurred at a selected location. Add and Move transaction types are indicated by the Txn Type/ Transaction Type field.

Handy TipsFor efficiency, the user is best placed to use the Materials Management screen when more than one Add or Move transaction is required. This screen provides the user with both functionalities together with the ability to create Repair Orders, Query locations and view part History.

Audit Location Repair Order

Used to compare data with information gathered from an audit of locations. This ensures that the data held accurately reflects parts held at locations and their quantity. Any discrepancies can be automatically resolved, which will result in parts either being added to a location or moved into holding stores.

Can be accessed from the Materials Management screen by querying the required store location and highlighting the item to be repaired and returned to supplier.

Audit Locations Tab Part Location Summary

When entering this screen the user will be presented with the locations within the Site or Store selected in the Audit tab. From here the user must specify the exact locations to be audited.

Allows queries to be performed on sites or stores. This allows the user to receive a quick overview of parts held at locations, using the criteria of Supplier, Part No, and Serial No., Site or Store ID.

Audit Parts Tab

In this screen the user enters all information for the parts found in the required locations, and enters the quantity of those parts.

Handy Tips

Using the Transaction History screen from within the Inventory module is useful when tracking if and when parts have been moved or added to a site and/or location

From the Price History screen it is possible to enter price details for future prices given by the manufacturer of a part, enter the date the new price is to begin. Gamma NetOne will use this price on the date/s specified.

Audit ReconciliationOn completion of the Audit of a given location, and the status of that audit changed to Frozen for Reconciliation; when the parts found in audit do not tally with those in the system. For example a network card that was entered as quantity 10, was audited as only having 2.
