INSTRUCTIONS TO STUDENTS ARAHAN KEPADA PELAJAR

1. This assignment has ONE (1) question only. You may choose to write in English or in Malay.

Tugasan ini mengandungi SATU (1) soalan sahaja. Anda boleh memilih untuk menjawab dalam Bahasa

Inggeris atau Bahasa Melayu.

2. Your assignment should be typed on A4 paper using 12 pt Times New Roman and 1.5 line spacing.

Tugasan anda perlu ditaip atas kertas A4 dengan menggunakan font bersaiz 12 dan langkau baris 1.5.

3. You must submit your assignment on-line through the mVLE. Detailed instruction on submission

procedure kindly refer at LMS help.

Anda mestilah menghantar tugasan secara on-line melalui myVLE. Arahan terperinci tentang prosedur

ASSIGNMENT QUESTION

Social stratification is a way a society place its members into different social

position. Thus, we may observe some people will be placed in the higher

stratum and some will be in the lower stratum.

INSTRUCTIONS

Based on your observation as a member of a society, you are most likely know

several criteria used to measure social inequalities, with which then used to

determine one’s social stratum.

Discuss the criteria used to measure social inequalities and how functionalist

and conflict perspective explain social inequalities in modern society.

Give TWO examples of society based on how their members are stratified and

explain how their social stratum influences their life and social mobility.

REQUIREMENTS:

Your assignment should be between 1200-1500 words and will be assessed

based on the rubric given.

SOALAN TUGASAN

Stratifikasi sosial adalah cara bagaimana ahli masyarakat diletakkan pada kedudukan

sosial tertentu dalam masyarakat. Dengan itu dapat diperhatikan terdapat orang

yang berada di strata yang tinggi dan ada yang menduduki strata yang rendah.

ARAHAN

Berdasarkan pengalaman anda sebagai ahli masyarakat, anda mungkin mengetahui

pelbagai kriteria bagi mengukur ketaksamaan sosial yang kemudiannya digunakan

bagi menentukan strata seseorang itu.

Bincangkan kriteria mengukur ketaksamaan sosial dan bagaimana perspektif

fungsional dan konflik menghuraikan ketaksamaan sosial dalam masyarakat moden.

Berikan DUA contoh masyarakat berdasarkan bagaimana ahlinya distratakan dan

jelaskan bagaimana strata tersebut mempengaruhi kehidupan dan mobiliti sosial

ahlinya.

KEPERLUAN

Tugasan anda perlu berada dalam lingkungan 1200-1500 patah perkataan dan akan

dinilai berdasarkan rubrik yang telah diberikan.
