First of all, we feel grateful as we managed to complete the assignment sharp on time. We start doing the assignment on 1 September 2008 and complete on 13 September 2008.

In order to finish the assignment, we had use all the sources surround us to ensure we can produce a great complete assignment. While finish the task given, we also get new experiences in our life such as make a monthly budget. Beside that, we also going to the car showroom to get the information about payment, loan, interest and monthly instalment of the car. For sure, the task given quite interesting.

Hence, we would like to thank those who had help us while doing this assignment. Thank you to Pn. Hajah Zainun bt. Ismail for lending her hand to help us all the time we go to discuss about the task given. I am Mohd Saiful, a 24 year old teacher. After finish my study at Institut Perguruan Darulaman, I was posting to Sekolah Kebangsaan Wangsa Maju in Kuala Lumpur. My target after become a teacher is to buy a new car. As we know, lifestyle in Kuala Lumpur is totally different compared to the village. Almost all what we want to do need money to be done.

In order to save my salary to buy a new car, I had live in a condominium with 7 other friends. The condominium rent is RM 1200 per month. Although it is quite expensive, we do not feel any pressure as we share our money to pay for it. Live together with friends under one roof is good for us as this will help us to save our money on everything.

As example, when we live like this, we can save our money on food. Every month, all of us will share our money to buy groceries. It is more save than eat at the restaurant. Besides that, we also can save our money on electrical and water bills monthly.

Hence, there’s a lot of money I can save every month on my salary. It was very good as I can use the extra money to budget on monthly instalment of the car that I will buy.

AFTER FINISH MY STUDY, I WAS SEND TO A SCHOOL IN KUALA LUMPUR. THIS WAS MY FIRST POSTING. MY MONTHLY SALARY IS ABOUT RM 2500. I AM WISHING TO BUY A NEW CAR. IN THAT CASE, I AM STAYING IN A CONDOMINIUM WHICH HAS 4 ROOMS AND 3 BATHROOMS WITH 7 OTHERS FRESH GRADUATE TEACHERS IN ORDER TO SAVE MY SALARY. I AM ALSO DOING A MONTHLY BUDGET FOR DAILY SPENDING IN ORDER TO GET A NEW CAR. HENCE, THE BALANCE OF THE SALARY CAN BE USE TO PAY THE CAR PRICE MONTHLY.

AFTER I HAVE MADE THE BUDGET FOR MONTHLY SPENDING, THERE IS RM 1000, THE BALANCE AFTER I HAVE SPENT MY SALARY FOR A MONTH.

IN PERCENTAGE, I HAVE USED 60% OF MY SALARY ON MY PERSONAL USE. THE BALANCE 40% IS THE NET BALANCE THAT I CAN USE TO PAY FOR MY CAR MONTHLY INSTALMENT. IT IS MORE THAN ENOUGH FOR ME TO BUY MY DREAMS CAR.

FROM THE BALANCE, HENCE I CAN FIND A CAR WITH THE MAXIMUM MONTHLY INSTALMENT UP TO RM 600 – RM 800. FOR SURE I HAVE A LOT OF CHOICES FROM ANY MODEL OF CAR THAT SUIT THE RANGE I HAVE MADE.

As we can see, different car cost different amount of money that we must pay for certain car. The price of the car, down payment, loan amount, interest rate per year, the total amount, and monthly instalment that need to be cut of from our monthly pay.

So our group make a discussion on which car should we pick for a price that is reasonable and does not cost us any problem in the near future.

So we all decided on Proton Satria Neo 1.6 MT HLINE car that cost us RM 586.65 per month. We think that the price does fit our monthly budget that we have made. Furthermore, the car is match for person like me which want a sporty car.
