Remarks (Comments and Recommendations) The teacher was able to introduce the grammar point by introducing an interesting theme. Moreover, students were able to start using past simple and present perfect in a natural way. The teacher handled well the students’ needs and made them participated actively. She showed a very good attitude and the importance of being empathetic with people from other cultures. I really liked the material she used.

Remarks

Susan has successfully combined the revision of the use of the past and present perfect forms in a natural way to discuss different countries and different cultures in order to encourage learners to reflect on their own cultural attitudes and beliefs and consider the importance of critical cultural awareness.

Compared to the original

Both my evaluation and the experienced teacher evaluation are very similar. I just added a personal opinion on how to connect the first activity to the second one in a different way. I would pay more attention to the material used, to look for more authentic material.
