● *Cultural diversity course. Students are strongly encouraged to take one course in cultural diversity.● L- Laboratory Course

I. Complete the general education requirements distributed as follows:

A. Communications - 9 semester hoursENG 101, ENG 102, and SPE 101 are required.A minimum grade of “C” must be earned in ENG 101 and 102.

B. Behavioral Science/Social Sciences - 6 semester hours with courses selected from two disciplines.Any courses from: ANT 101, 102*; ECO 101,102; GEG 105*, 125*; HIS 105, 106, 180; POL 201, 202;

PSY 101, 201, 210, 211, 215; SOC 100, 101, 102, 201*;

C. Mathematics - 4 semester hoursChoose one course from: MAT 102, 121, 124, 141, 181, 201, 202, 203, 224.

D. Science - 7 semester hoursOne course selected from the life sciences and one course from the physical sciences.Must include one laboratory course.Choose one course from: BIO 100, 102L, 110L, 150, 160, 161L, 202.Choose one course from: CHM 105L; GEG 101; GEL 101L; PHS 101, 103L; PHY 101L.

B. Elective Studio Art Courses - 9 semester hours.Choose three studio art courses in consultation with an art department advisor:

ART 105, ART 111, ART 113, ART 115, ART 116, ART 117 ART 130, ART 131, ART 205, ART 211, ART 213.

III. Satisfy the other graduation requirements for your degree as stated in the Morton College catalog.

Since completion of the Associate in Fine Arts in Art curriculum does not fulfill the requirements of the Illinois GeneralEducation Core Curriculum, students will need to complete the general education requirements of the institution towhich they transfer. However, if students take an additional social/behavioral science course in addition to the onestated above, they will have met the Illinois Articulation Initiative General Education core curriculum. Students who knowtheir specific field of study and which university they plan to transfer should follow the specific course recommendationsof that university.
