AIR and IPEDS The Association for Institutional Research is a

professional association of institutional researchers, planners, and decision-makers from higher education institutions around the world. AIR exists to benefit its members and to help advance research that improves the understanding, planning, and operation of higher education institutions.

AIR provides respondent training, research, and dissemination activities for IPEDS under a contract with RTI International and NCES.

Data Policy Institute

Annual two-week training on the use of national databases for postsecondary educational research.

Includes hands-on sessions led by national survey directors and policy seminars led by experts in postsecondary education policy.

Attendance is based on an application process. Accepted applicants receive an all expenses paid Fellowship to the Institute. 2007 deadline: January 15, 2007.
