The theme of the meeting will be promoting sustainable transport in cross-border cooperation. Jens Nilsson, Member of the European Parliament (S&D Group), will highlight his work within the Committee on Transport, and Committee on Regional Development. Axel Volkery, from the Sustainable and Intelligent Transport Unit of DG Mobility and Transport, will present the European Commission’s policy initiatives to promote clean, alternative fueled vehicles and infrastructure in Europe. The interregional projects Green Drive Region and Regio-Mob will share experiences and good practices regarding sustainable mobility. The meeting will also include a panel discussion regarding sustainable transport in cross-border cooperation. During the meeting you will be able to enjoy breakfast specialties from Scandinavia.
