Perfect for under 5s with adult help - though can be enjoyed by everyone! Materials Potatoes - cut in half and then carve out simple shapes (these can be used for the petal shapes - diamond shapes work well) Celery - cut in half and bound together with an elastic band Poster paint Paint brush A piece of printing paper, scrap paper or cardboard Tissue paper or coloured paper for your vase Stickers (optional) Printing stamps and ink (optional)

• Celery-cutinhalfandboundtogetherwithanelasticband• Posterpaint• Paintbrush• Apieceofprintingpaper,scrappaperorcardboard• Tissuepaperorcolouredpaperforyourvase• Stickers(optional)• Printingstampsandink(optional)

1. On a large piece of paper, begin by dipping your carved potatoes and clump of celery into paint and start printing some colourful flowers.

2. Cut out a vase shape out of a different coloured piece of paper. Then stick this down onto large piece of paper, that is now hopefully covered in flower shapes.

3. Start painting in stems from your flower heads that lead into the vase.

4. Add decoration to your vase, using different papers, stickers and stamps.
