filmmakers ages 6-17 an opportunity to create their own scary movie, from concept to creation. Formats may include stop-motion animation, film, animation, music videos, and digital comic books. Filmmakers can enter by submitting their film on DVD, along with an entry form and $5 fee, to Sugar Sand Park Community Center by September 23.
Films will be judged by a panel of industry professionals, and available on YouTube for the public to watch and vote for their favorites. Select films will be shown in the
Willow Theatre during Shriek Week, and an award ceremony will honor the winning
films in November. The Grand Prize is a Go Pro Hero Camera!

BEN J. HICKS “SEASCAPES” Ben Hicks has journeyed across the Americas and around the globe, capturing the majestic beauty of the natural world. In his fine art underwater photography he strives to portray the familiar in extraordinarily original ways, sometimes taking physical risks in the process.
CARLY MEJEUR “SEA PORTRAITS” A marine life artist and Florida native, Carly Mejeur uses her watercolor paintings of creatures to connect the man-made lines and numbers with the organic composition of islands and coastlines of authentic nautical charts.
FUSED IN GLASS Fused in Glass is a glass fusing and mixed media art studio that specializes in glass fusing instruction. This exhibit will showcase jewelry, sculpture, dinnerware and décor.
