OUR HISTORYFounded in 1898, AST was a major construction company based in Europe. In 1959 AST established operations in Dubai and in 1964 the business was officially incorporated by a Ruler’s Decree.

In 1983, two prominent UAE businessmen, Khalifa Juma Al Nabooda of Dubai and Abdulla Mohammed Al Mazrui of Abu Dhabi, acquired a 51% share in the business and bought the remaining shareholding from the parent company in 2003.

Overseas-AST now operates proudly as a 100% locally owned UAE company with its head office in Dubai and branch offices in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.

FACILITIES

Our structural steel fabrication and pre-cast facilities in Dubai & Abu Dhabi provide us with the opportunity to support specialised elements of our service offering, in house.

These facilities serve to enhance our competitiveness, reduce reliance on third parties and minimise interface risk.

Fabrication workshop at Hamriyah Free Zone in Sharjah: fabrication workshop area of 15,000m2, capable of handling any size of specialized engineering construction. A wharf alongside the yard enables large construction to be easily transported by barges anywhere in the region.

Pre-cast yard at Musaffah, Industrial City of Abu Dhabi. Covering an area of 17,500m2, the facility is utilised for pre-casting of concrete blocks. An overhead Gantry Crane provides quick and efficient load out capability.
