Congratulations to all members that participated in

“Competitive” events. Panzer and I ended the fall with these

titles in “Fun” events. Panzer earned his Proven Stunt Dog

Title and Triple Crown Level 3 Title; making Panzer the

FIRST Rottweiler to achieve these titles on September 14,

2020. Panzer earned DMWYD Expert Trick Title, AKC

Trick Dog Performer, AKC Trick Dog Elite Performer

Title.

Wishing health and happiness to all in 2021.

From Caryl Baxter

My little pug, Violett (MACH2 Legends To Dream Of

Violett, BN RM2 RAE MXC MJC MFB T2B TQX CGCA

TKE, AKC Achiever Dog), competed for the second

consecutive year in Orlando, Florida, at the AKC Agility

Invitational, in December 2020. To qualify, a dog must be

ranked in the top five of its breed.

This year, Violett surprised me, by scoring a perfect 100 in

all agility runs, and qualifying for the Finals! She came in

#8 in the 4”-8” class of all breed finalists, and won the

medallion for Top Dog Pug. This tiny little pug never

ceases to amaze me… but, she still won’t heel off leash in

an obedience ring!! She has informed me that I just need to

"get over it”….and I guess I will.

From Yvette Shipman

The Shipman

Aussies had fun at

Countryside

Agility on Dec

20!

Tink earned her

first ever Master

Q, with a second

place in Jumpers

Preferred and

Gypsy also Q’d with only a half second left on the clock

(that’s cutting it a little too close).

Taz, although he is easily distracted, also qualified in

Novice FAST after I had to scramble to get his attention on

the finish jump. This was under judge Diane Fyfe. I love

their Christmas decorations!

Welfare

Happy New Year! We all pray for better times to come. I only have heard of two welfare items, but I wanted to give them to you for the newsletter:

Judy Drotar has been hospitalized and is battling Covid.

Georgianne Doyle lost her Australian Shepherd, Ivy. Echo Lake Poison Ivy, 11-24-08 - 12-28-20 Carol Sescourka had heart surgery and is at home recovering. Prayers and best wishes for Judy and Carol’s recovery and solace and comfort to Georgianne on her loss.

House Keeping!

From Dale Burrier I am the new chair of the

'housekeeping' committee. Here are our checklists of

periodic cleaning for the building. I plan on cleaning every

Tuesday morning, starting around 9 am. In case of

unforseen issues, cleaning may take place Thursday

morning, but at any rate, cleaning of the training area,

bathrooms, entrance hallway, office, will occur at the

'turns'... The changeover between obedience and agility

classes.

Post the checklists, and my request for helpers to take a

task, or two, when they can... it does not have to be on a

Tuesday morning. Just initial and date the task completed,

and let me know how long it took.

There is a new monthly raffle for a $25 gas card, and

cleaning duties qualify at 1 ticket per hour of cleaning.

(Example: 4.5 hours = 4 tickets)

Checklists are kept on the wall behind the bathroom doors,

it doesn't matter which one is hung where, just take the one

for what you're working on, mark it when you're done, and

hang it back on it's hook.

We have a good core of folks cleaning, would appreciate

some more help!

2020 YABTC Awards Form

Now Available From Chris Gesing

The Awards Form for titles earned between January 1 and

December 31, 2020 is now available.

The form is included in this newsletter and printed copies

are available at the Club. The YABTC Website has a

version of the Awards Form that you can type in your

information, then save it for printing or e-mailing.

For those members that did not submit a form last year, you

can still submit your 2019 titles using this form. Please

make the year earned obvious so it is accurately reflected on

the plaque plates and wall photos.

The deadline for submitting the forms is March 31, 2021.

Completed forms can be e-mailed to [email protected],

USPS mailed, or left in the Awards folder at the Club. For

those that USPS mail their forms, please note the change in

mailing address. The forms should be mailed directly to me

and not to the Club. My Home address is on the form.

Congrats to all on your 2020 titles.

The Awards Form on the YABTC Website has fields for

typing in your information and then can be saved for

printing or e-mailing.

Shout Out!

From Laura Belll

I also would like to give a shout out to a few

people in the Agility community.

Yvette Shipman and Debbie Harper hosted an ACT 1 and

ACT 2 Agility day in November. They did an awesome job

at it! We had a good crowd, both members and non-

members, and the event ran very smoothly. The club looked

great because they cleaned before everyone came, and they

put a lot of effort into the event. Job well done!! Thank you!

Also,

I would like to give another shout out to Sandy Irish and

Debbie Harper. Sandy and Debbie have been the Agility

Trial Chairs at our agility trials for years. It's not a job for

the faint of heart as it takes a lot of coordination and

planning, and if it wasn't for them, we may not have trials.

Our dates, the judges, the site, everything that pertains to

the trial, they are involved in. Their work is greatly

appreciated! Thank them for that next time you see them!
